Warren County Recorders

The office of county recorder was started in 1803 as an appointed position by the Common Pleas Associate Judges. It became an elected position in n 1829.  Currently the recorder serves for a four year term starting in January after the year of election.  Responsibilities provide access to ownership of all county land records, specifically recording all deeds, mortgages and conveyances of lands and buildings within the county. Other duties include recording powers of attorney, mechanics’ liens, soldiers’ discharges, leases and financing statements.
