The church was admitted into the Miami Baptist Association in 1804 then by 1854, it had been dropped from the minutes of the Association.

More recently the cemetery has been known as the Keltner Cemetery because it was on the Marion Keltner farm. The 1891 land plat of Deerfield Township shows the cemetery on the property of J.M. Vorhis (110.26 acres) in Section 5.

bullet In 1998, Mr. Carl Meunnich, sexton of the Deerfield Township cemeteries, and Eric Yarberry, an Eagle Scout, began the restoration of the cemetery after years of neglect. Eric decided it would make an ideal project for his Eagle Scout requirement. It was rededicated May 08, 1998. Although much restoration work was done, and many of the tombstones cleaned and re-fitted, not all grave sites are readily visible.
