This online index only lists the individual, death date (if known) and reference page. We are creating a master index of everyone who is buried in this county and their burial location to aid researchers. We are especially in need of people buried here who have no stones or whose stones no longer exist. If you have any of this information or if you have additional information for anyone who is buried in this cemetery, please email the Warren County Genealogical Society.

Cemetery History

The Null cemetery is located on the grounds of what used to be the Clear Creek United Brethren Church in Christ Chapel located southeast of village of Springboro on Red Lion Road, south of Springboro Road. The exact date the church [or cemetery] was established is not known but is said to be a very early date in the Beers History of Warren County, pages 593-594. About 49 burials in the cemetery are known of dating from the 1823 burial of Adam Blin to the 1894 burial of Henry Bean.

The notable Adam Blin(n), a German citizen, he came to the United States as a "bound boy," and escaped that fate by running away to the Ohio Country. He was among the area's first settlers. Ten members of the Fry family rest here. Revolutionary war veteran Christian Zaring / Zehring is buried here. Christian Null was also buried here until the VFW exhumed and moved his body to the Dayton National Cemetery in 1992 because it needed a Revolutionary War Veteran.

The cemetery received its name because it was on Null Road, the original name for the road that runs past it. Its relative isolation has made it a frequent target of vandals, and it is slowly deteriorating behind a locked fence.

The Warren County Genealogical Society hosted their annual cemetery restoration clinic in 2012 and repaired 16 of the tombstones. Two "lost" tombstones for Amos Snell and Christena Fry were unearthed, repaired and reset. See the cemetery clinic pictures at the following link. [2012 Null Cemetery Clinic]
