Cemetery History |
Small cemetery.
It is listed as the Wilmington Yearly Meeting on property records, but it is
currently being maintained by a neighbor. There are some broken stones and
some stones were moved from their original location and put in a row. First
known burial is for William H. Edwards who died 31 Aug 1812. Civil War veteran,
Edwin C. Turner buried here.
Note: The gentleman that mows the grass stated that he believes several stones were thrown over the hillside to make room for a swimming pool many years ago. He found some of them and returned them to the cemetery. He believes there may still be some stones on the hillside. He said that someone was hired to clean up the cemetery and they moved several stones from their original location and put them all in a row. |
