2007 AWARDS

The Ohio Genealogical Society is the largest state genealogical society in the United States and has at least one chapter in nearly every county of Ohio. The Warren County Genealogical Society was honored by the Ohio Genealogical Society at their annual business luncheon held at the Hyatt Regency in Columbus on April 14, 2007. The Warren County chapter was the recipient of 3 of the 5 annual awards presented to their chapters at the meeting. Also see Proclamation by the Warren County Commissioners.

In recognition of these Awards, the Warren County Commissioners presented a proclamation to the society at the April 24th, 2007 Commissioners meeting which read as follows

Proclamation from the office of the Board of County Commissioners Warren County Ohio

Resolution honoring the Warren County Genealogical Society for best in the state for top volunteer, top website and top genealogy society from the Ohio Genealogical Society.

Whereas the Warren County Genealogical Society has been recognized for three outstanding services provided to the citizens of Warren County and the state of Ohio and

Whereas on Tuesday, April 24th, 2007 the Warren County Genealogical Society is having a ceremony to celebrate this outstanding achievement and

Whereas it is the desire of this board to make the Warren County Genealogical Society celebration a memorable occasion.

And now therefore we David G. Young, Pat Arnold South and C. Michael Kilburn commissioners of Warren County Ohio do hereby recognize and honor the Warren County Genealogical Society for having the top volunteer, top website and for being the top Genealogical Society in the State of Ohio.

In witness whereof we have hereunto subscribed our names and caused the seal of Warren County to be affixed at Lebanon this 24th day of April in the year of our Lord 2007.
