The Supreme Court began in 1803 and heard appeals from the Common Pleas Court specific to Warren County.  Its decisions were final.  This court was abolished in 1851 and replaced in 1852 by the District Court, which was abolished in 1883 and replaced by the Circuit Court, which was replaced in 1912 by the Court of Appeals, which still is in place today.   WCGS has only indexed a small fraction of the Supreme Court Records available: Chancery Court Records, and Divorce Records, 1803-1843. These records are also available from the Supreme Court:

The Ohio Historical Society has the following Supreme Court records for Warren County on microfilm: Supreme Court Chancery Records 1831-1851; Supreme Court General Index 1805-1851; Supreme Court Issue Docket 1803-1851; Supreme Court Minutes 1817-1851; and Supreme Court Record 1804-1845.  The Edna L. Bowyer Record Center and Archives also has the Supreme Court Issue Docket from 1803-1851 on microfilm in their reading room.
