Marriage records begin in 1803 and can be found in the Common Pleas Court records or Chancery Court Records.  Filing of marriages was moved to the Probate Court when it was created in 1852 and is still recorded in the Probate Court today.

The marriage record copybooks are stored at the Edna L. Bowyer Record Center & Archives up to about 1996.  Marriage records starting in the 1940’s are searchable in the Warren County Probate Court computer terminals.  Warren County Marriages from 1803 through 1854 are also included in the Miami Valley Genealogical Index.  The Ohio Department of Health, Department of Vital Statistics has marriage and divorce abstracts from 1 Jan 1954 to the present.  They will search a ten year time period for $3.  www.odh.ohio.gov/vitalstatistics/mrgdiv.asp

NOTE
Prior to 1899, the marriage record only lists the names of the bride, the groom, who married them and the marriage date.
The marriage license may have additional consent information if either the bride or groom were underage.
