This online index only lists the individual, death date (if
known) and reference page. We are creating a master index of everyone who is
buried in this county and their burial location to aid researchers. We are
especially in need of people buried here who have no stones or whose stones no
longer exist. If you have any of this information or if you have additional information for anyone who is buried in
this cemetery,
please
email the Warren County Genealogical Society.

This is private property at 9927 Wilson Rd.
Obtain permission from the owners before attempting to visit the cemetery. From Roxanna-New Burlington Road, travel
south on Pence Jones Road (TR 283) about 2000 feet (~0.4 miles) to a path
between two fields on the east side of the road near the sign saying "Welcome to
Warren County." Go about 870 feet east to the end of the path and then follow
the tree line another 450 feet east to the cemetery on the north side of the
tree line. [It appears that the actual cemetery location may be over the county line in Greene County, Spring Valley Township.] |

Cemetery History |
Samuel Compton is the
first known burial for this cemetery. He died in 1805.
His wife Elizabeth died in 1821. It
is unknown who else is buried here. The fenced area is very small. Their
son William may also be buried here, but this has not been confirmed. A
new tombstone has been erected to replace the crumbling remnants of the original
stones that can be found next to the new stone.
Laura Dussault provides this information regarding the early ownership of
this land by the Compton family:
