Cemetery History

This cemetery is located on the right side of the road in a wooded are near the fence line before you drive up to the house where the drive starts to slope upwards.  There are a few paths that lead right up to the cemetery.  There is a wire fence on the edge nearest the wooden fence but it has fallen down and is not noticeable until you step on it.  The boundaries to the cemetery are hard to distinguish but there are quite a few large trees in the area.  The owners said only about a half a dozen people are buried in this cemetery.  It is very overgrown with brush.  The only inscribed stone is for Achsa Banta who died in 1906.   This small stone is located in the center of the cemetery.  There are a few field stones near and there is also a tombstone for a dog named Brutus who died in 1980.
