Cemetery History |
This small cemetery is located in a wooded area in a hillside. The bodies were all laid to rest in caskets in a vault built into the hillside. Included are Daniel Banta & his wife Tacy and their children: Elizabeth B. Earnhart, Hannah, Tacy and Rachel B. Lind. In 1996 this cemetery was visited by Milo H. & June Banta. They found the vault had been unsealed and the remains scattered throughout the vault. No evidence of the caskets remained. The vault was resealed at this time with what was left of the remains buried inside. A memorial marker has been placed in the Lebanon Cemetery for these individuals. |
